The ‘Engine’ is a great and fun misnomer for the components that power Role. The Engine is the corest of the core components which the mechanics derive from.
Rendering Engine
The rendering engine has been offloaded into a seperate repo in hopes of using it for other things. This project has been started and you can read about it on the Retro Render website.
Mapping Engine

The mapping engine is responsible for loading map data into the client and performing a whole lot of geometry, mostly in the form of Raycasts.
